T. L. Williams Academy of Dance
T. L. Williams Academy of Dance, a division of River City Dance Company, helps to promote arts & education in children. Director Tevita Williams-Dumas, a Qualified Dance Educators of America and many other dance organizations, and Assistant Director Bettye F. Williams have committed themselves to a life of education & the performing arts. Both have earned numerous awards for their endeavors.

River City Dance Company invites you to explore the world of dance! Our students develop technique, performance quality discipline, and self-confidence!
Dance education begins with an awareness of the movement of the body and its creative potential. Dance combines a mixture of discipline, poise, commitment, and artistic expression while improving balance and posture. We truly enjoy working with children and training future professionals and look forward to years of learning and fun.
Our Mission
RCDC's main purpose is to:
- To assist local and state tourism and chamber of commerce officials in recruiting businesses and major corporations to locate within our area;
- To provide instruction in dance forms such as jazz, ballet, modern, and ethnic dance;
- To provide instruction in body movement and theory such as dance history and pedagogy;
- To give public performances in dance forms and creative dramatics;
- To ensure that all children regardless of race, creed, color, and/or financial circumstance can participate in and/or attend company performances;
- To sponsor special events involving the public performance of any or all of the above art forms as well as other performing arts by the corporation's performing troupe as well as by other community performing arts groups; and
- To directly engage in and to provide facilities for others to engage in the promotion of the arts, generally.
